The Alky lounge chair, designed by Giancarlo Piretti for Anonima Castelli in 1969, is constructed entirely from polyurethane foam and upholstered in a durable Trevira fabric in a vivid, cool-toned green. The chair’s body features soft, fluid transitions between the backrest, seat, and legs, creating a compact, monolithic form with generous proportions. The fabric surface has a fine, subtly textured weave, lending a slightly grainy feel, while the matte finish emphasizes the understated nature of the design. The legs are finished with brushed aluminum caps, providing a distinct metallic accent and stability. The chair measures 66.2 × 83.8 × 74.2 cm. No visible seams or fasteners are present, highlighting the quality of craftsmanship and precise execution.
