The PLOPP bar stool by Oskar Zięta for Zieta Studio is crafted from stainless steel and finished in a deep, mirror-like black. Its three legs, featuring irregular, balloon-like forms and a gently crumpled seat, are shaped by FiDU technology—high-pressure air forming that transforms flat metal sheets into three-dimensional objects. The seamless construction is complemented by a circular brushed steel footrest, which contrasts with the high-gloss surfaces. With dimensions of 35 cm in diameter and 75 cm in height, the stool offers both stability and functional comfort at a bar or high counter. PLOPP evokes sculptural associations: the form suggests an inflated figure, where controlled chance creates a unique rhythm of folds and rounded contours. The black surface reflects light like a sheet of glass, while the organic lines of the legs introduce subtle tension and levity. In this design, technology becomes a means of expression—steel takes on soft, fluid shapes, and a utilitarian stool becomes a manifesto of contemporary design. The PLOPP bar stool pairs well with kitchen islands in stone, concrete, or matte wood finishes. It can be combined with minimalist white or anthracite countertops, graphite-toned lighting, and raw-textured textiles. In open-plan living and kitchen spaces, PLOPP works harmoniously alongside other Zieta Studio pieces or geometric artworks, emphasizing the interior’s industrial and collectible character.
