The PLOPP white stool, designed by Oskar Zięta for Zieta Studio, is crafted from steel using the proprietary FiDU technology—two ultra-thin, welded sheets of metal shaped under high pressure. Its distinctive construction features three widely splayed legs with organic, inflated forms and irregular folds. The seat, slightly concave, echoes the theme of gentle undulations, enhancing the dynamic quality of the piece. The white, mirror-like finish accentuates the project's minimalist, industrial identity, while the absence of visible seams or fittings highlights the advanced engineering. The proportions are bold and unconventional—the whole object appears to float above the ground, despite the solidity of the material. PLOPP expresses an experimental design philosophy, blending engineering precision with artistic spontaneity. The inflated steel evokes the impression of a balloon sculpture—both visually light and assertive in presence. The high-gloss white surface reflects light and surroundings, making the stool a dynamic element that shifts with the rhythm of the space. Organic creases and the irregularity of each leg reinforce the sense of a process-driven object—shaped as much by technology as by the designer’s intent. The tall PLOPP works well as a bar stool or as a statement accent by a kitchen island. It can be paired with other minimalist furnishings in metal, glass, or lacquered wood to emphasize its sculptural quality.
