The PLOPP stool, designed by Oskar Zięta for Zieta Studio, is crafted from two ultra-thin sheets of steel joined at the edges and inflated under high pressure using FiDU technology. The result is a three-legged structure, 35 cm in diameter and 50 cm high, entirely finished in a cool blue-grey matte tone. The powder-coated surface diffuses light softly, accentuating the organic folds produced by controlled deformation of the metal. With no visible joints and a seamless monochrome appearance, the piece highlights its innovative process and purity of form. The seat and legs combine balloon-like geometry with a minimalist, sculptural silhouette, making the stool both a functional seat and a statement in contemporary design. The PLOPP form communicates a tension between industrial precision and material freedom—as if metal had acquired the softness of fabric, while the process leaves traces of dynamic energy. Subtle creases and irregularities are not flaws but individual signatures of each piece. The absence of gloss and the cool shade evoke a sense of calm and graphic discipline, while the inflated, almost playful proportions recall both artistic experimentation and architectural manifestos. The stool works well as a solo accent or in multiples—beside a low table, as a companion to a sofa, or as a standalone highlight in an open space. It can be paired with objects featuring distinct textures: matte ceramics, thick-edged glass, or upholstered poufs in neutral tones to emphasize PLOPP's industrial character.
