The PLOPP Inox stool, designed by Oskar Zięta and produced by Zieta Studio, is crafted from polished stainless steel using the proprietary FiDU technology—joining two thin sheets of metal and expanding them under pressure. Its sculptural construction features three dynamically shaped legs and a slightly concave seat, measuring 35 cm in diameter and 50 cm in height. The surface is mirror-like and smooth, without visible joints or fittings, and each piece displays a unique arrangement of folds, bulges, and creases, a direct result of the air-inflation process. The bold proportions—voluminous, organic legs paired with a compact seat—and the industrial aesthetic elevate the stool to the status of a collectible, functional art object. The transformation of metal sheet into an inflated form gives the impression of steel capturing the movement of air within its structure. The mirror finish reflects its surroundings like a water surface, highlighting the interplay between art, technology, and light. PLOPP Inox stands at the intersection of sculpture and furniture—playful in appearance, yet a testament to engineering precision and formal innovation. The stool works well as a standalone statement in a contemporary living room, next to a minimalist sofa or a glass table. It can serve as an occasional side table for books or plants, and in a group with other metallic objects, it forms a composition with a graphic rhythm. Pairing it with raw surfaces—concrete, stone, matte wood—and a neutral color palette will emphasize both the reflective finish and the organic folds of the metal.
