The PLOPP stool in graphite-grey matte finish is an iconic example of contemporary industrial design, developed by Zieta Studio. Three wide, rounded legs flow seamlessly into the seat, which measures 35 cm in diameter and stands 50 cm high. The entire piece is crafted from metal—steel sheets shaped using the innovative FiDU technology, in which thin metal is welded and then inflated under high pressure. This process results in an organic, sculptural form with irregular folds and the distinctive 'inflated' silhouette. The matte surface in deep graphite is uniform, free from additional accents or patterns, emphasizing the pure line and seamless construction. The design balances between utilitarian furniture and sculptural object—its form carries the imprint of experiment and the play of chance. Subtle creases in the metal evoke the movement of material under pressure, while the whole appears as a frozen, dynamic gesture. The stool communicates the boldness of modern technology and a disregard for traditional divisions between art and function. PLOPP stands as a manifesto of contemporary object-thinking, drawing associations with pop art pieces and the industrial DNA of Polish design.
