The ASTRO wall lamp, designed by Marta Foit for Thoro, is a contemporary take on wall lighting that combines minimalist form with precise craftsmanship. Its construction features a large, perfectly circular disc made of transparent plexiglass and a cylindrical steel core in matte mocca brown. The central element provides a subtle contrast against the airy transparency of the disc, while the whole is united by clean lines and balanced proportions (28 × 28 × 8.5 cm). The integrated LED module emits soft, diffused light at 3000K, emphasizing the fixture’s modern character and the subtlety of its materials. The design communicates contemporary restraint and functional minimalism: the clear disc allows the lamp to almost blend into the wall, while the steel cylinder defines a clear focal point. Details such as the smooth, matte finish and seamless connections create an impression of lightness, as if the light hovers in air yet retains its presence. The lamp’s visual language is a dialogue of light and shadow—distinct yet understated. ASTRO works well as a single accent on a living room, hallway, or bedroom wall, gently illuminating selected zones. It can also be arranged in a larger composition of several units, creating a graphic rhythm against a uniform backdrop. The lamp pairs well with furniture in simple lines and natural materials—such as light wood or matte metal—and with textiles in neutral tones. The lighting complements minimalist decor and diffused daylight. The fixture features an integrated LED module with 7.5 W power and 3000K color temperature. The body is made of matte steel, and the disc of transparent plexiglass. The product weighs 0.5 kg. The construction ensures even light diffusion and does not require traditional bulbs.
