The ASTRO wall lamp by Thoro exemplifies a contemporary approach to wall lighting, where a minimalist silhouette meets a striking interplay of materials. The central cylinder, crafted from matte lacquered steel in deep burgundy, is paired with a perfectly flat disc in the same finish, set against a large, glossy, transparent acrylic shield. The construction is designed without visible fasteners, emphasizing formal clarity and graphic coherence. Proportions are carefully balanced: the burgundy center stands out against the wide, clear rim, while the lamp weighs 0.5 kg and measures 28 × 8.5 × 28 cm. The design is by Marta Foit, with Thoro as manufacturer.The ASTRO sconce evokes the impression of a graphic symbol or a suspended planet—its transparent shield creates a sense of visual lightness and depth around the colored center.
