The ASTRO wall lamp, designed by Marta Foit for Thoro, features a composition of a cylindrical, powder-coated steel body in a peach hue and a glossy, transparent plexiglass disc with a diameter of 28 cm. The construction shows no visible joints from the front, maintaining a clear, geometric outline, while the 28 × 8.5 cm proportions give the design a balanced and harmonious character. The matte steel contrasts with the high-gloss plexiglass, highlighting the interplay of light and shadow. The central element functions as both the housing and the light source location, with the style referencing contemporary minimalism and mid-century modern aesthetics.The clear disc surrounds a pastel center, evoking optical phenomena or a light orbit. The design communicates calm and lightness—plexiglass transparency creates a floating effect, and gently diffused light shapes a subtle ambience. The sconce oscillates between a utilitarian object and a discreet, geometric sculpture, building a contemporary, quasi-artistic impression.The lamp works well as a single lighting accent in a living room, hallway, or commercial space, and in multiples can form a graphic wall installation.
