The ASTRO wall lamp, designed by Marta Foit in cooperation with the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice, is a wall fixture defined by balanced, contemporary form. Its construction features a matte, pastel pink steel cylinder paired with a large, perfectly clear plexiglass disc. The central element remains free of visible screws or embellishments, while the smooth, glossy transparent shield introduces a sense of lightness and clean lines. An integrated LED module provides diffused illumination that highlights the fluidity of the shape and the subtle character of the color palette. Harmonious proportions—28 cm in width and depth, with 8.5 cm in height—allow the lamp to stand out both as a solo accent and as part of a coordinated wall composition. ASTRO communicates tranquility and freedom, using the visual language of minimalist geometry and transparency. The pink cylinder acts as a gentle focal point, while the transparent disc creates an aura of lightness, as if the glow spreads through a pane of glass. The project reveals an attention to detail reduction—the entire composition expresses contemporary restraint and clarity, evoking associations with 21st-century European design. The lamp works well as a single lighting accent in living rooms, hallways, or bedrooms, where the pastel pink and transparency can introduce a subtle color highlight without overwhelming the space.
