ABOUT PRODUCTID 31580
The ASTRO wall lamp is a project by Marta Foit, developed in collaboration with the Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice and produced by Thoro. Its design is based on a perfectly circular, transparent disc made of plexiglass and a central cylindrical module of steel, finished in uniform matte white. The integrated LED is positioned at the core of the lamp, while the smooth surfaces and absence of visible joints emphasize its minimalist character. Geometry and proportions are balanced, and the neutral color palette allows for versatile use in contemporary interiors. The white version offers a clean, subtle presence on the wall, with the transparent disc serving as a gentle light diffuser. The form of the lamp creates a sense of lightness and visual quiet— the transparent disc appears to float against the wall, while the matte white cylinder softens the intensity of the light. The design communicates a pursuit of simplicity and clarity, balancing function with purity of form. Every element is subordinate to the idea of reduction, where light becomes an integral part of the composition rather than an addition. The ASTRO wall lamp works well as a single accent in a living room, hallway, or bedroom, but can also be used as part of a larger wall composition— for example, in a row or an asymmetrical arrangement of several fixtures. It can be paired with light, neutral walls, glass, white or grey upholstery, and furniture with smooth surfaces. It is worth combining with minimalist accessories and diffused lighting to maintain a coherent, modern aesthetic. The fixture features an integrated LED module with a power of 7.5W and a color temperature of 3000K. The construction is made of steel and plexiglass. Dimensions: 28 cm in diameter, 8.5 cm in height, depth 28 cm. The lamp weighs 0.5 kg.
