The ASTRO wall lamp, designed by Marta Foit for Thoro, is based on clear geometry and a precise interplay of materials. At its center, a matte olive green steel cylinder defines the main visual axis. Surrounding it, a large transparent plexiglass disc acts as a diffuser, dispersing the light from the integrated LED module. The form maintains clean lines and seamless transitions between steel and plexiglass. There are no visible fasteners or decorative elements, highlighting the minimalist nature of the design. The proportions—28 cm in diameter and 8.5 cm in depth—give the lamp a compact, harmonious profile. The metal is finished in matte, while the plexiglass is smooth and glossy, all in a cool, subdued color palette. The lamp’s form creates a visual dialogue between precision and lightness. The transparent disc gives the impression of light suspended in space, independent of the wall. The olive green evokes calm and discipline, and the matte metal surface allows the light to flow gently across its planes rather than reflecting it intensely.
