The ASTRO wall lamp, designed by Marta Foit for Thoro, is based on precise geometry and a dialogue of contrasting materials. The construction consists of a round disc made of transparent plexiglass and a central cylinder in powder-coated matte black steel. The absence of visible mounting elements from the front emphasizes the purity of the form, while the proportions (28 × 28 × 8.5 cm) create a sense of visual lightness. The satin black cylinder, paired with the crystal-clear, glossy disc, brings out a subtle contrast between matte and glassy surfaces, placing the design firmly within the language of contemporary minimalism.ASTRO communicates through reduction and graphic discipline. The transparent disc appears almost invisible, while the black cylinder becomes a calm focal point from which light radiates. The minimalist visual language, balanced proportions, and interplay of textures create an effect of quiet and modern order—as if the lamp draws a luminous circle on the wall without disrupting the rhythm of the space.The sconce works well as a discreet accent in living rooms, bedrooms, or hallways. It may be paired with furniture featuring simple lines, glass, or semi-matte wood to maintain graphic coherence within the interior. In larger spaces, several ASTRO lamps arranged rhythmically can create a repeating lighting motif and emphasize the minimalist character of the arrangement. The transparent disc harmonizes with light, neutral wall colors and accessories in black or silver, highlighting the material contrast.The lamp is designed to accommodate an LED light source with a maximum power of 7.5 W and a color temperature of 3000K.
